Sugartown’s Spookier Side – A Special Tour

Tours at 2:00 PM & 4:00 PM

A Soldier Exhumed, a Fallen Farmer & a Shopkeeper’s Spirit. Many people have left their mark on the village of Sugartown over the past two centuries. Many births, deaths, celebrations, and other activities have happened in this little town. Over the course of this tour, visitors will hear the tales of the village inhabitants. Some happy, some sad, some bizarre…

Join one of our knowledgeable guides as they lead you through the village. Along with Sugartown’s rich history, you’ll hear lesser-known and possibly eerie tales about the village. Listen to the legend of the young Union soldier whose mother never forgot him. Hear about a few untimely deaths and much more!

  • Tours last approximately 1 hour
  • Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your tour so that it can leave on time.
  • Because of the historic nature of the property, there is limited wheelchair accessibility in some of the buildings and some difficult terrain. Please contact us with any questions about accessibility.
  • Tours take place rain or shine.



Because of necessary COVID-19 safety precautions, tickets must be purchased online in advance to limit physical contact.

  • All tickets must be purchased online in advance to limit physical contact. Unfortunately, this means we are unable to accommodate walk-in visitors at this time.
  • For everyone’s safety, all tour participants are required to wear a face mask throughout their visit. Anyone refusing to wear a mask will not be allowed to join the tour and will be offered a refund.
  • All tour participants must abide by social distancing procedures.
  • For the safety of our visitors and staff, any participant with visible signs of sickness (cough, etc.) will not be allowed to join the tour and will be given a refund. Please stay home if you are sick.
  • Visitors will have very limited access to restrooms on-site. Please plan accordingly.
  • Certain spaces may be inaccessible to ensure proper social distancing.
