In this class, participants will be introduced to the traditional methods of creating a book all from the comfort and safety of your own home. These methods have been employed from about the first century through the mid-19th-century. Participants will hand-sew the book sections (signatures); secure the hard covers; add a leather spine, and decorative paper to the covers; and lay down the endpapers in this process. The class will last approximately 5 hours.

VIRTUAL FORMAT:
The workshop is done virtually via GOOGLE MEET. All participants must have access to Google Meet and a computer, tablet or smartphone with a camera to take part. Please review the Google Meet F.A.Q. for more information.
MATERIALS:
The book along with additional materials are included, and will be sent via mail to your home prior to the workshop. You will need to supply a few items which will not be provided. Those items are listed below. Registration will close 7 days prior to the workshop to ensure that materials can be shipped in time.
